[I]l primo catalogo scientifico dell'Ermitage di San Pietroburgo, uno del più prestigiosi musei del mondo. Grazie a quest'opera monumentale - pubblicata in lingua inglese - gli studiosi e gli appassionati d'arte potranno accedere a un vastissimo repertorio, in gran parte ancora inedito o riprodotto solo su pubblicazioni in lingua russa.

Curati dai maggiori specialisti russi, i 10 volumi che compongono l'opera presentano, riprodotti in grande formato e sistematicamente schedati, i 5000 dipinti dell'immensa sezione di pittura occidentale dell'Ermitage: un percorso che illustra, dal Duecento al Novecento, i capolavori e le opere meno note di tutte le scuole europee.

Volumi (formato 250 x 340 mm) rilegati in tela con impressioni in oro sul piatto e sul dorso e sovraccoperta a colori.
