he map of the world as known in 1442, when it was drawn and illuminated by the Venetian geographer Giovanno Leardo on a parchment sheet of 28 x 33 cm (including the cord for rolling up the map). This 'mapa mondi', oriented with the East above, is one of the first circular representations of the earth.

The facsimile of Leardo's world map is presented in a walnut showcase, ready for being hung on the wall or placed on a bookstand.
