  • Containing 460 pages and 88 miniatures on 345x245 mm. parchment.
  • Commissioned by King Alfonso Henriques and inherited by his son Sancho I. He decided later to give the manuscript to Cistercian nuns after his daughter, Teresa, became head Abbess.
  • Employing a linear and highly abstract style and exhibiting an iconography based on models very close to those of the Beatus's original manuscript.
  • According to one specialist, Prof. Dr. Peter Klein, it served as a model for the Beatus of Burgo de Osma
  • A unique edition limited to 999 copies, duly numbered and authenticated by notary public.
  • A complementary volume of studies carried out by the most renowned specialists on the subject.
