he facsimile edition is of a volume of 288 pages sized 210 x 280 mm published in Lovaina in 1480. The author, Pierre d'Ailly, summarises the cosmographic knowledge of the time, especially the ideas of Tolomeo. It contains 18 treaties that include beautiful drawings and sketches reproduced with the techniques and colours of the time.

The copy belonged to Columbus, with 898 hand written notes by the Admiral, (and also by his son, D. Hernando), it is conserved in the Chapter and Christopher Columbus Library in Seville.

The binding is in mudéjar leather with tacks plated in gold. The two complementary volumes of 816 and 288 pages include an introduction and translation by Antonio Ramírez of Verger and study by Juan Pérez of Tudela.
