#

he most beautiful and the most celebrated Lombard-Gothic codex of the 15th century. It consists of 636 folios, sized 381 x 266 mm. It is the work of a teacher in Gothic art and this is confirmed in the international statement made in the art of the book. It contains the Bible in the complete French version of Guiard des Moulins. Written to two columns in minuscule Gothic text for Nicolás III of Este, marquis of Ferrara. Signed with ornamental sumptuosity in each page, adorned splendidly with two big and beautiful miniatures of historical squares which frame the inside of the entire page. It begins at the start of the old testament and continues into the new testament. It contains many beautiful miniatures of historical squares, golden initials with rich decorations at the beginning of each Biblical book.

The decorations are attributed to Bebello de Pavia and his school, while the non figurative initials and the conclusion of the work have been attributed to Jacopino de Arezzo.
