Patrimonio Ediciones

[F]atrimonio Ediciones, based in Valencia, Spain takes a different editorial approach to other publishers.

Its vocation is to delve deep into the oldest cultural sources and to track down lost codices and manuscripts, so as to reproduce an original as perfectly as possible by combining both modern and ancient techniques. The old and the new are harmoniously balanced to bring the past up to the present.

Dozens of dyes, hand-made paper and craftsmanship combine with new techniques to ensure that a faithful reproduction of the painstaking work undertaken by monks in the “scriptorium“ is achieved.

The finest materials (Ieather, silk, wood), just as the originals, are used throughout those craft procedures and techniques to reproduce a perfect binding, appropriate to the epoch of the original. The result is such that lt is difficult to distinguish between the original and the facsimile.

Each facsimile is accompanied by scientific, artistic or Iiterary studies in Spanish on the published manuscript and a translation of its text by the most prestigious specialists in the field.

All their editions are unique and Iimited, are accompanied by the corresponding legal certificate authenticating the work, impression and copy number. Once sold, most editions increase spectacularly in value.
