he Vorauer Peoples Bible is one of the most beautiful and most valuable of the so called " History Bible's " of the late Middle ages. The Vorauer Codex, from the year 1467 contains the text of the whole Old and New Testaments in a Bavarian-Austrian dialect. The colorful variety the more than 550 carefully colored drawings gives not only a descriptive idea of the belief's and the religious ideals but also the habits and the clothing of the people of the late Middle Ages.
